Accessing the Blocked sites

Friday, April 3, 2009

When I brows this site, it shows 12 ways in accessing the blocked sites. Limiting access through the Internet have become common problems in many countries, especially in Asia. If access to a site and the information is limited / blocked by network administrator or ISP, then the users who are in a place (school, office, cafe, etc.) or the country will experience difficulties in access. Example services that are often blocked by various countries / office is Youtube. Access restricted, on the other side is also done by the content providers to prevent access by users outside your target market, usually because of legal problems. Examples are the Internet radio service Pandora and streaming video, such as Hulu, ABC and even Youtube (for a particular video). One of the most recent case is how Google keep the U.S. government wishes not to provide to the user's own application in Cuba, Syria, South Korea, Iran and Sudan.

As the proverb says, many roads to Rome. Below are the different ways that you can try to access a blocked site.

1. Using the IP address
When an application is used only to block the domain name only (eg *. youtube.com), how this filtering can done by using the IP address of the site (such as YouTube to 209.131.36.158).

To find out the IP address of a site, we can try to ping the site. please go to command prompt (Start> Run> type: cmd> Enter) and type "ping sitename.com" and press enter. So the IP address will appears.

In addition to obtain the IP address of a site can also be done through service to Host Domain Whois and IP Tools.

2. Using the Short URL Service
If the case is the same as the above, other ways to do this is to use the url shortening service like TinyURL, MooURL and SnipURL.
3. Using the Online Archive and Cache

Some search engines such as Google and Yahoo keep craw of many popular sites can still see the contents of the site even though the original has been blocked or even removed. Click the link titled 'cached' then we'll be taken to a page from the cache search engine (if stored). There are also special services intended to help you find the online archives. Wayback Machine is a service that periodically save a copy of almost all the sites on the internet from the beginning of the Web sites running.

4. Using Online Translator
Services online translators such as the Altavista Babelfish, Google Translate, WorldLingo and Live Translator to help us to translate the site from one language to another language. Simply enter the URL of the site is blocked, and select the option to translation in the language you want (or the same language).

5. Subscribe to RSS Feed
Tricks that this may not apply to the various sites, but if the site you want to visit the RSS syndication feature to provide, (usually news sites and blogs), you can try to subscribe and read it with an RSS / Feed Reader.Layanan RSS / Feed Reader that You can use can be a desktop application (Feed Demon, and Sharp Reader Feed Reader), the web browser Firefox, Opera, IE and others, or with the additional extension (InfoRSS, Sage, and NewsFox), and the last to use online application ( Google Reader and Feed Show).

6. Using Anonymizer Service
This service is basically used to enhance privacy while berinternet with disguise your identity from the site through a proxy. Using the anonymizer service, the IP address and other information that you will not be known by the sites you visit. Some services even provide additional features such as block cookies, ads, and encryption. Because they do not access the site directly, sometimes you can access a site that was blocked.

Most services like this, but there are some that are still available for free such as Anonymouse, Daily Best Links, and YouHide.

7. Using the Proxy Browser
There are many free proxy which you can find on the internet, some sites that you can use for free:

Once you select a proxy from the site above, you configure your browser to use the proxy.

8. Using Google Mobile Search
You can also try using the Google mobile search, but results are usually not the maximum. This is the same as when using a web proxy or web translator

9. Via Email
The best trick for this is that Web2Mail. We can subscribe to your favorite sites through our email. You can also subscribe to many sites at once set in the folders so that is neat. Each time you change your site's pages, Web2Mail will automatically send the new page to your email address. You can also set what and when submitted.

RSSFWD There are also services that will automatically change the RSS into email sent to your email account.

10. Using Additional Applications
Additional applications are applications other than the browser can be used to access the internet to avoid the block. Several of the applications that can be used are:

GPass is a free application that provides encrypted connections to go through censorship and filtering. This application uses the encrypted tunnel socks and applications can take advantage anonymizer such as Skype and Tor as an extra.

Users can simply drag and drop to a certain application such as web browser, email client, IM and other applications that require internet connection to the program window GPass. Without the other settings that are usually complicated, you can run applications as usual with more secure. Very useful for those who use the Internet access using the Hotspot / Wi-Fi public. Try Hotspot Shield.

11. Connect to remote PC
This is the last the most powerful, but there are some requirements that must be fulfilled. You must have a computer in a place that is active and connected to the Internet, for example, a computer at home. Install and run applications that free Remote Connect as UltraVNC or TightVNC and use a secure password.

After that install applications on client computers that you use in other places, and type the IP address / Host name / computer name in the home (visit whatsmyip.org to get your IP address) and password to use the internet network your home that are free to access any site you can access in your home.

To get the level of success is higher, also use a few tricks below:

* Use a domain name when an internet connection in the office / school block all requests that use the IP address (or DynDNS better if you already have your own domain)
* Use VNC HTTP protocol which can be accessed through the browser (no need to install the VNC Viewer on the computer office / school)

12. Using the Alternative Service
If you know the alternative to online services that can be used, and store data online, you need not be disagreeable, fretful stress or just because one site is blocked. Suppose access to email service GMail is blocked from where you use other email services for forwarding to GMail or access it through the application or device that supports POP3.
